This leader needs to develop the ability to be more empathic in order to reduce staff turnover and maintain teams. He needs to increase communication and show sensitivity to the needs of subordinates and colleagues. Especially important is to enhance this leader's listening skills.
Achieve self-awareness in client. Develop motivation to manage subordinates with increased communication that is focused on two-way interaction. Develop heightened interest in and skill for building teams.
This talented young executive shows too much emotion - in the form of anxiety - and leans too heavily for support on her boss. She needs to exhibit more maturity, balance, and independence to insure her credibility and rise within the organization and reduce her boss' sense of being burdened.
Strengthen her self-image as a talented executive. Increase her sense of security. Decrease her reliance on her boss for emotional support. Create more politically appropriate support structures and faster growth.
However brilliant, this individual appears disorganized and prone to outbursts causing disruption and credibility problems.
Provide professional assessment and refer individual to appropriate medical treatment resources to help manage a mild psychological/neurological disability. Increase his self awareness; improve his self-presentation, focus and organizational skills. Refine his thinking pattern to include strategic, pro-active focus. Increase use of sound judgment in interpersonal behavior. Develop more organizational savvy.
This Type-A executive's job has changed to include not only closing sales but also developing new client relationships and managing and developing staff.
Increase executive's adaptability to respond to his clients, depending upon their needs. Increase his awareness of the interactive process, and not just the results, of human relationships. Equip him to deal more effectively with clients, senior management and staff.
Due to restructuring of his organization this executive recently had to eliminate a department he had created a decade before. He recruited many of the more than 150 staff members soon to be terminated at his order. A usually engaged and optimistic individual, this executive became detached, depressed and negative. Although highly valued for his brilliance, his angry response was sending negative ripples throughout the organization.
Focus on helping the executive become self aware. He was experiencing a modified post-traumatic stress reaction. Develop his ability to gain insight into his response and develop resiliency and the ability to adapt successfully to organizational change over which he had no direct control.
This individual needs to appear more aggressive and develop appropriately assertive behavior.
In order to be more effective, this introverted executive needs to demonstrate more interactive and engaged behavior with his/her organizational stakeholders.
This individual needs increased frustration tolerance and increased sensitivity in leadership skills especially the ability to coach his staff, manage his boss, and relate to his peers in an interpersonally competent manner.
